We have a busy week ahead! Take a look at what’s happening in our community!

Monday, April 1st

1) Latina Activist-Artist Diana Restrepo at Dartmouth!

“Remnants of Colombian Displacement: the hanging corpse and other memories”

Panel Discussion: Please join us on April 1st for a panel in Haldeman 041 with LALACS faculty members Silvia Spitta and Mary Coffey along with Ariana Ochoa Camacho, the Cesar Chavez Fellow, from 3-5 p.m. followed by an opening reception with the artist in the Russo Gallery from 5-7 p.m.

2) Afro-American Society (AAm):

Join us tomorrow at our first General Body meeting of the term. “Hip-Hop & Rap: Buy it? Sell it? Listen to it?” Am I, are you, or are we supporting rape culture by doing any of these things?

1)   Luncheon with Diana Restrepo:

A message from Ariana Ochoa Camacho, the Cesar Chavez Fellow for the 2012-2013 year:

AAm: Dinner, Diaspora, and Discussion.

If you are interested in cooking for the event, blitz Nate Graves ’13 with ingredients you need; he will provide the cooks with groceries needed a few days in advance. Dishes should arrive by 5pm at Cutter Shabazz!

Art Show: In collaboration, LALACS and the Dickey Center will be co-hosting an art exhibit “Remnants of Colombian Displacement: the hanging corpse and other memories” in the Russo Gallery from April 1-15th

Afro-American Society (AAm):
The AAm is holding a clothing drive! Bring clothes you would like to donate to Cutter Shabazz up until Friday! Your Dartmouth IDs allow you to access the building, and the TV room (where the donation bins are) is straight ahead when you enter the building.
