PBS Documentary on Latino Americans

From our Special Correspondent Anna Villarruel ’12:

PBS will be producing a six-hour documentary series on the history of Latinos in the United States. The three-part, bilingual series is set to air in the fall of 2012.

Adriana Bosch, a Cuban-American who recently worked with PBS to produce a documentary on Latin music, has said that a sizable part of the documentary will focus on the experiences of Mexican-Americans but will also include stories about Latinos from other countries who have impacted U.S. history.

The film will air across the span of three days.

The project will also have a companion book, a bilingual website and a school curriculum for Latinos and non-Latinos interested in learning more about this rich history.
